Isabelle’s new pink toddler bedroom

Isabelle’s new pink toddler bedroom

It all happened relatively fast. One minute I was talking to my sister about Isabelle really not sleeping well in her room, the next thing I knew we were in the midst of moving Isabelle out of the tiny baby room and into daddy’s big office, in an attempt to see if it helped her sleeping. Swaperoo fun!

I am definitely a woman on a mission when it comes to my projects, and this was certainly a big one. No. 1 on my list (don’t you just love lists) was paint colour. It had to be pink and cream with some duck egg thrown in so my husband was happier (as he isn’t a fan of pink). In fact, if he’d had his way we’d have ended up with a yellow Pikachu themed room … not a terrible idea. But one for when she’s a bit older than 19 months, perhaps.

We went through a number of test pots before finally deciding on Dulux Sorbet for the pink, and Natural Calico for the cream/off white, which happened to be on the walls already.

Once we had the paint locked down the rest fell into place beautifully! Below are the before and after pictures, and yes be prepared for a mess of a room, initially.

As you can see it was a bit of a state starting off, however things soon start coming along nicely once the walls were painted and furniture moved back in.

Night time mode:

And here is a short room tour!

Lets take a moment to appreciate that gorgeous bed linen! The Next.co.uk kids fairy bed linen is absolutely gorgeous. They also have matching cushions, throw overs, and heaps of other accessories, including her lush pink rug and pink lightshade.

The sequinned bed canopy is from Asda which does a huge range of bedroom accessories. In fact, I got a bunch of stuff from there including the heart cushion, duck egg Love letters, chest of drawers, pink heart mirror and strawberry handbag.

Dunelm Mill is also fantastic and has relatively decent prices. We got her extra wide fairy curtains from there, as well as a matching cushion. But they also had some beautiful matching bed linen and a few extras in their fairy range. Definitely worth a look!

Her wardrobe is from Mothercare, but the rest is from Amazon!

There are still a few finishing touches I need to add on, but overall this is what I’d call the finished product. I had such a fun time designing and decorating it and I hope this blog post will help give you some ideas too!
